Accounting Coordinator

Performs daily accounting functions under the direction of the finance team in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.


In this role you will:

  • Partner with senior finance team members to perform daily accounting and administrative functions
  • Assist with audit preparation
  • Process client payments and posting
  • Post sales transactions and receipts
  • Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including maintenance and management of vendors and client records and management of in-house vendors
  • Track and maintain employee lunch balances
  • Issue local checks
  • Monitor petty cash and report transactions monthly
  • Process employee reimbursements (travel and expenses); review credit card charges from team members and verify charges are for business expenses; connect with team members regarding G/L accounts assigned to specific charges when necessary; ensure proper documentation is received
  • Process and distribute mail office-wide
  • Make bank deposits as needed
  • Process the bi-weekly payroll ensuring that all employees are correctly paid
  • Various administrative and other duties as assigned

To win in this role you need:

  • Strong attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a small, but very busy team
  • Knowledge of accounting practices
  • To function well in ambiguous and often changing circumstances
  • Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks, Netsuite, ADP or other payroll and accounting systems
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and sometimes limited direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle many tasks and stay focused
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
  • Some college-level accounting courses helpful, but not required with sufficient experience
