Client Operations Intern

As a OneSpace Client Operations Intern, your main focus will be on learning the ins and outs of our proprietary software as well as our systems and processes in order to then be able to contribute to the initiatives of our Client Operations team. This includes working cross-functionally with internal team members and departments as well as getting direct exposure to clients to help execute on contracted services. Responsible for assisting and potentially managing the setup and implementation of project plans that help clients achieve their strategic business objectives, you will need to grow as a subject-matter expert of all our internal platforms and ongoing e-commerce strategies, at which point when mastered and if a position is available, you may be considered for a position on our team.

Specialized opportunities with our team are available in each of the following capacities:

• Content development
• Data analysis and management
• Graphic design

The Client Operations Intern position pays $15 an hour and is eligible for overtime but not benefits. This is a part-time position working 20-30 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility to adapt to school or other schedules.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
  • Develop an expert-level knowledge of all OneSpace platforms and proprietary software
  • Learn and then help establish procedures and processes that support OneSpace as well as departmental standards, values and strategic directives
  • Gain exposure to the development and publication of e-commerce content and images
  • Assist with managing the core components of day-to-day operations for client projects, including:
    • Working with Account Managers to understand client needs
    • Providing ongoing project management support
    • Writing clear and concise project instructions for freelancers
    • Fielding client questions as needed
    • Identifying areas for improvement on projects and proposing appropriate solution
  • Communicating with internal teams regularly to ensure projects are completed on time, finalizing project deliverables to ensure all quality guidelines and expectations are met
  • Play an instrumental role in overseeing project freelancers to complete client work, including:
    • Implementing proper screening methods (e.g., tests, samples, surveys, etc.) to ensure the right freelancers have access to the right projects
    • Coaching their performance throughout the lifecycle of a project by way of email, internal forums and other means of written communications; this includes resolving disputes or questions, communicating instruction changes, and both providing constructive feedback as well as absorbing it
    • Within defined parameters, develop incentives for freelancers, motivating them to improve turnaround time and increase productivity
  • Work closely with clients to ensure comprehensive instructions and guidelines are created for their projects
  • Coordinate multiple projects at once, keeping track of all deadlines, deliverables and associated tasks
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
  • Current college student in good standing working toward a bachelor’s degree (Business, Communication, Computer Science, Data Management, Graphic Design, Journalism or a related field of study preferred); senior or recent graduate preferred, but will also consider candidates with relevant field experience and/or applicable soft skills
  • Ability to commit to working 20 to 30 hours a week throughout the duration of the program; programs are contracted to a 6-month period with opportunity to extend at our discretion
  • Familiarity in one or more of the following specialties:
    • Excellent writing and editing skills; working knowledge of AP Style a plus
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related programs; advanced Excel skills preferred, including vlookup and pivot table functionality
    • Advanced knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; a diverse portfolio a plus
  • Ability to recognize the urgency of situations and respond appropriately
