E-commerce Creative Director

At OneSpace, the E-commerce Creative Director works with key stakeholders to design and build project plans that help clients execute their strategic business objectives. The role is very hands-on, working with internal teams as well as managing the freelancers completing various projects. The primary expectation of this role is to direct and manage the e-commerce image creation process, but occasionally you will be expected to participate in the creation of images as needed to fulfill project timelines.

  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of our e-commerce image creation process
  • Manages external design resources, overseeing project workflow, assignment details, feedback, timelines and budgets
  • Enforce brand standards and quality assurance of all client deliverables
  • Manage relationships among contractactors, agencies and freelancers who produce creative and production design deliverables
  • Manage client interactions in a manner that establishes credibility and trust as a business advisor
  • Collaborate with Account Service and Client Operations team as needed to ensure client expectations are met and internal teams are informed of project status
  • Identify opportunities within clients’ e-commerce marketing and/or content strategy that can be improved via incremental investments in OneSpace products and services
  • Be a digital strategy consultant to predetermined OneSpace enterprise clients, including: staying abreast of digital marketing best practices and applying this knowledge to assist your clients in meeting their marketing and content strategy goals
  • Ability to design creative and original e-commerce images that meet our clients’ e-commerce strategy
  • Have the ability to develop original and exciting conceptual ideas and bring visionary ideas to the table
  • Identify tools and resources to improve efficiency
  • Within defined parameters, develop incentives for freelancers, motivating them to improve turnaround time and increase productivity
  • Ability to provide constructive and objective feedback to designers
  • Ensure that project issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the project team of any problems that may arise
  • Ability to influence strategy of clients through on-site presentations and meetings
  • Provide regular input on all project activity, including weekly status updates
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field)
  • 5-7 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, PR, content marketing, media or a related field
  • 2+ years in a leadership role, which includes managing and coaching designers
  • Diverse portfolio, demonstrating advanced understanding of design
  • Agency experience is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • The desire to work in close collaboration with freelancer designers
  • Insane attention to detail
  • Passion and understanding for trends e-commerce advanced image design
  • Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and conflicting priorities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; exceptional listening skills
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
