Marketing and Sales Operations Manager

Marketing and Sales Operations Manager

The Marketing and Sales Operations Manager reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, whose team is responsible for all B2B marketing activities for the organization. The role oversees marketing systems and Salesforce, implements campaigns and sales workflows, and provides analytics for the Marketing and Sales teams. The role closely measures business performance, identifies opportunities, and coordinates with the team to execute. This role is a blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution to drive results.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
  • Own the marketing operations roadmap, ensuring marketing technology is evaluated, selected, implemented, and customized to meet the needs of the marketing and sales departments
  • Regularly inform leadership on marketing performance via monthly dashboards and ad hoc reports to ensure cross-functional alignment on the best possible data-driven marketing strategy
  • Provide Marketo, SalesLoft, ProfitWell and Salesforce administration
  • Administration of other sales and marketing technology including Livestorm, Zapier, Premier Pro, Salesforce Data Loader, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and the OneSpace Gallery
  • Execute marketing campaigns, nurture programs, landing pages, and email
  • Produce all webinars and digital events including event configuration, email notifications, implementation, speaker training, and technical support, slideshow timing, video editing of recordings, and attendee/list management
  • Improve marketing effectiveness through the implementation of lead scoring, lead routing, lead nurturing, lead alerts, and segmentation
  • Manage the lead database and implement effective data management practices that support data enrichment and completeness while promoting data accuracy and hygiene
  • Measure all stages of the funnel and identify opportunities to systematically improve quality, velocity, and conversion rates.
  • Ensure every marketing touchpoint is captured, and report on channel effectiveness, campaign effectiveness, and marketing sourced pipeline/revenue
  • Regularly evaluate the marketing tech stack and identify tools that will fill gaps and enable us to improve our effectiveness and reporting
  • Define and implement marketing operations best practices as it relates to all marketing functions including but not limited to digital content, demand generation, events, product marketing, and sales development
  • Ensure marketing automation data is being properly collected and connected in our software systems
  • Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our ABM pipeline generation efforts
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
  • Present information using data visualization techniques
  • Propose solutions and strategies to address business challenges that are revealed during the analysis
  • Evaluate and install new technologies to support multi-channel demand generation programs.
  • Provide SalesLoft platform training to account executives to further improve platform effectiveness
  • Manage, update and organize marketing and sales documentation in Google drive
  • Prepare quarterly business review slides for senior leadership review
  • Manage and upload sales contracts for the Finance team in ProfitWell monthly
  • Upload contract activity monthly into Salesforce using data loader monthly for the Finance team
  • Implement tools and processes for the sales and marketing organization that focuses on improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity
TO WIN IN THIS ROLE YOU NEED:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce and marketing automation tools (such as Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua)
  • A background in organizing and manipulating data in Excel
  • An analytical approach and a desire to develop effective tools that help drive sales and marketing effectiveness
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related fieldd
