CrowdSource CEO, Stephanie Leffler, Earns ‘40 Under 40’ Nod

The Saint Louis Business Journal recently named Stephanie Leffler, co-founder and CEO of CrowdSource, to its 2013 class of ’40 Under 40.’

Each year, the Saint Louis Business Journal inducts 40 nominees into its class of ’40 Under 40’ – a prestigious list of the most influential business professionals in the greater Saint Louis area. This year, eleven judges chose from a pool of over 500 qualified nominees to land at its list of 40 winners.

Stephanie Leffler has always seen business problems as opportunities, and with three successful tech companies under her belt, she has the track record to prove it. In 2002, Leffler launched MonsterCommerce, her first startup, to help entrepreneurs create and manage their e-commerce stores. Within four years, MonsterCommerce hit $20 million in sales, and Stephanie sold it to Network Solutions.

“I’ve always found business problems to be incredibly motivating,” noted Leffler. “I find excitement in overcoming the challenges that startup companies face and in creating solutions to them.” In fact, the concept of CrowdSource, her current business endeavor, stemmed from an internal need to produce and publish content at scale.

Leffler believes that the future of business lies in crowdsourcing – a more scalable and efficient way to work. Leffer’s business model provides jobs and internships in the local St. Louis area, while providing both a technology presence and career opportunities in the Metro East area. CrowdSource also provides vast opportunities for hundreds of thousands of people to work remotely. According to Leffler, “The concept of crowdsourcing is a new frontier, and the way enterprise-level companies do work is changing.”

Stephanie was also honored as one of the Saint Louis Business Journal’s Most Influential Business Women and was a nominee in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2012.
