There is no denying that the business world is changing rapidly, and OneSpace is at the forefront of this shift. Our goal is to help enterprise clients develop scalable solutions for complex problems – and our Engineers are at the core of this process.

One of the most exciting parts about being an Engineer here is the proprietary software we developed and continue to refine. It serves as the platform that tens of thousands of skilled freelancers leverage to complete projects for some of the world’s largest online retailers and publishers. As the freelance economy continues to grow and more companies turn to virtual tools to manage their projects, our job is to stay ahead of the trends. Quite literally, our Engineering team is helping to change the way the world works. And since we are a small (but mighty) team, each person has a hand in the development process from the early planning stages of a project through pushing the changes to production.

A solid technical background is necessary to join our team, but even more importantly, we are looking for outside-the-box thinkers who can collaborate effectively and manage multiple projects. While this is clearly a computer-based role, we prefer that our Engineers also like people – we work closely with Account Managers and Project Coordinators to solve real problems for clients. No coding in the corner for our Engineers!

We work hard and maintain sanity in the midst of jam-packed, fast-paced schedules by starting each day off with a fierce round of Cards Against Humanity at our morning standup meeting. There’s a highly strategic point system attached to the game, keeping us all motivated to work (and laugh) harder. If you have a terrible sense of humor, this team might not be right for you. We geek out over creating efficient software solutions, and also over clever GIFs that we often communicate with to keep the mood light.

As our team expands, we need people who are ready to roll up their sleeves and learn the nitty gritty ins and outs of our software so we can continue building a platform that transforms the future of work.
