Marc has been with OneSpace since way back in 2012 when he started as a Software Developer intern right out of college. Marc is now our Solutions Engineering manager, which is a fancy way of saying that he makes our platform run smooth and look pretty.
When Marc isn’t busy discovering new and innovative ways to improve our platform, you can find him planning OneSpace events as part of our culture committee, playing table tennis in the lounge, or working out in the company gym.
We chose Marc as our next spotlight because Marc and a few other OneSpacers recently won 3rd place at GlobalHack VI, which is a pretty huge accomplishment!
Let’s see what else makes Marc so awesome:
I’m originally from Arizona, but I moved to Quincy, IL, when I was 5. Starting school at the Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville in 2008 brought me to the Saint Louis area, and I just never left.
My favorite OneSpace value is “be an expert.” I think it’s super valuable when you can give clients and other team members in-depth knowledge about the company’s projects and platforms that show expertise.
The latest and greatest in the technology world, like cell phones, techniques for development, and new computers. I can (and do) read articles on this stuff for hours.
A light blue – like aqua – because it’s one of my favorite colors. I like it because it’s a cool color and puts me in a relaxed mood.
“Jump” by CrissCross.
Batman, because he’s just more of a fighter.
I wanted to be an architect. I love tall buildings and big cities, but I ended up not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.
I believe it was N’SYNC, but I’m not sure which album it was.
I’m a big Tesla fan. I love the way that they’re changing the world and the car industry and the technology inside them is just unbelievable.
My sandwich would be a random array of sauces and spreads; I’m a big mayo, guacamole, and mustard fan. And, maybe a little turkey and ham…not a ton, though. That would probably be a pretty gross sandwich, actually.
